FeedLocal is a non-profit that was established to make it easier for people to donate non-perishable goods to local food pantries.
We take pride in fighting hunger and feeding hope in Monmouth County. We believe that no child should go to bed hungry, adults should not have to choose between a hot meal and utilities, nor a senior sacrifice medical care for the sake of a meal.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does FeedLocal work?: FeedLocal makes it easier for people to donate non-perishable goods to local food pantries. When you sign up you will receive a reusable bag for your front porch/steps. When you are ready to donate, schedule a pick up on our website and one of our drivers will come pick up the food and deliver to a local pantry. The reusable bag will be left so you can donate over and over again.
What is the reusable bag you provide?: This reusable bag is an easy way for you to donate your food. When you sign up, we provide you with this reusable bag if you are going to donate often. Our driver will exchange reusable bags on pick-up to make things easier.
Can I donate money?: If you would like to donate funds, please do so online and not in the reusable bag. You can donate any amount. Even something as little as a $1 will go a long way for those in need.
What food CAN you donate?: This part is pretty easy. Food banks accept dry and canned food donations. Basically, any food that is “shelf-stable” or nonperishable – you can keep it in your pantry and it won’t go bad. And remember, only donate food that hasn’t reached its “sell-by” date yet. Specifically, food banks often need items like: Peanut butter, Canned soup, Canned fruit, Canned vegetables, Canned stew, Canned fish, Canned beans, Pasta (most prefer whole grain), Rice (most prefer brown rice). This is definitely not an exhaustive list but it covers a lot of what food banks and clients regularly need. Additionally, some food banks accept personal care and household items, since many families struggle to afford these items and they aren’t covered by other food assistance programs like SNAP.
What foods should you NOT donate?: At this time, please do not donate perishable items. We will announce at a later date if we need these types of items for local soup kitchens.
